We just got back from being gone all weekend, so I decided to write about my dog because I really missed her, and she’s the best. Sometimes I think I love her way too much. She is probably 65% of the pictures on my phone (which is why I shared some – it’s not fair for me to keep the cuteness all to myself!!!).
She’s a goldendoodle, and her name is Scout, but she probably has at least 35 other names that she answers to…I’m serious.
Scout. Scouty. Scoots. Scooty. Scooter. Scootykins. Scoots McGoots. Scootley Doo. Squeak. Pupperooni.
She will enthusiastically answer to every single one of these and more.
She is the weirdest dog I have ever known, and she just keeps getting weirder. I could share so many stories, but I’ll save them for another day.
We got her when she was just 8 weeks old, and, back then, she LOVED to cuddle. Somewhere around 1 year, she decided she didn’t like it anymore. So, naturally, I decided I would force cuddles on her until she liked it again. And guess what!!!
It worked 🙂
She just turned 2 last month, and, in the last couple of months, has begun to initiate cuddles all on her own. Just a couple days ago, I sat on the opposite end of the couch from where she was laying, and she got up to come lay closer to me. I almost cried. Last night, as I was writing on my blog, she came and curled up next to my legs! Whenever she initiates cuddles my husband will look over at us and say, “You’re in heaven right now, aren’t you?”
“Why, yes, yes I am.”
I’ll leave you with this last picture, so you can just see how stinkin’ cute she is. If you don’t have a dog, you should get one. Unless you’re deathly allergic, then it’s just not worth it.
