Psalm 17:6

I’ve had a bit of writer’s block lately, and I think I know why. There are many days that I struggle to set aside time for the Lord – to just sit and listen or be in the Word – and lately that’s where I’ve been.

I’ve tried to sit down and write something every day, but nothing is coming, and, while I want to share my life and story here, I don’t want it to be about me. I want it to be about what God is doing and showing me and how He wants to use my story to bless or encourage other people. Any skill I have in regards to writing is only because He gives it to me and because He gives me the words to say.

Since I’ve been neglecting time with Him lately it shouldn’t surprise me that I have nothing to write about.

To keep me accountable in spending time in the Word, I will be writing  about what I’m reading from now until Christmas Day – even if it is just one or two sentences. If I feel like I’m supposed to write about something else, I may have more than one post in a day. We’ll just have to see where this goes.

For today:

“I call on you, o God, for you will answer me.”
