My younger sister is graduating this year (eeek!!), and she asked me to make her a dress to wear. Her party is on saturday, so I had a week to get it done.
I’ve never made a dress before, so I said, “yes,” when she asked because I like to try new things. That’s why I haven’t blogged for a few days.
I bought a pattern and planned on following it, but the more I looked at it, the more I wanted to change, so I probably used 40% of the pattern and did the rest myself. It was a challenge and made me a little crazy at times, but I think it turned out really great!

It was a crazy weekend full of laughs, trips to craft stores, and pictures of babies. It was exhausting, and it was so worth it! I am so honored that I got to play a part in her special day 🙂 I am completely amazed that I was able to stay up until 4:30am two days in a row without turning into a zombie.
And I am so thankful that, although we are 4 hours away from each other and we don’t get to talk often, we still remain close.
It’s been a while, but I’m back at it again! The last couple weeks have been a bit busy, and I thought about blogging almost every day…but then I didn’t. So I am going to get back into the swing of things for the next month.

Other than organizing and sewing, the last couple weeks have been fairly uneventful. I’ve been in a bit of a funk. I hadn’t been taking the time Continue reading “Back”
